No earned runs in no-decision Allen came away with the no-decision in Wednesday's win over the White Sox. He gave up one unearned run on four hits and two walks while striking out four across 4.2 innings.

Impact The lone run Allen gave up came in the first inning on an RBI single by Lenyn Sosa, but the southpaw avoided the earned run due to a fielding error earlier in the frame. Allen didn't allow a run for the rest of his outing, but he was unable to complete five innings to factor into the decision. It was a better outing for the 25-year-old than his 2025 debut against the Padres on April 2 when he gave up four earned runs. Allen is in line to face the struggling Orioles on the road next week, when he will look to earn his first win of the season.

Impact While the inability of Cleveland's hitters to solve Michael King and the San Diego bullpen gave Allen no margin for error, the southpaw created his own problems by getting only 55 of 89 pitches into the strike zone and generating just three swinging strikes. After a solid rookie campaign in 2023, Allen turned in a 5.67 ERA over 18 starts this season before the Guardians sent the struggling lefty to the minors. Though he's rebounded over his three starts at Triple-A with a 3.86 ERA, Allen has given up three long balls while turning in an underwhelming 12:7 K:BB in 16.1 innings. Since Allen doesn't seem to have completely righted the ship during his time in the minors, he's tough to rely on as a streaming option against an Arizona lineup that has produced a 117 wRC+ versus lefties this season.
