INJURIES

Exits with foot injury Bryant was removed in the top of the sixth inning of Sunday's game against the Dodgers with left foot soreness, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Impact Bryant acknowledged a few days ago that he had been playing through plantar fasciitis in the same foot since the week before the All-Star break, so it's not a great sign that he was forced to exit early Sunday on account of the issue. Yonathan Daza came off the bench to replace Bryant, who went 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored prior to departing. He can be viewed as day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener in San Diego until the Rockies provide another update on his condition.

Impact The veteran slugger sat out Monday's contest with the injury, but he returned to the lineup Tuesday as the designated hitter. It appears Bryant will attempt to play through the issue, though he could see more action as the designated hitter as opposed to playing the outfield.

Playing through foot issue Bryant, who was out held out of Monday's game due to a foot injury, is batting third as the designated hitter Tuesday against the White Sox, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.
Impact Bryant went 4-for-14 with two doubles, a home run, two walks and three runs in three games against Milwaukee before sitting out Monday, and he'll rejoin the lineup for Tuesday's series opener versus Chicago. Any injury news is noteworthy given the 30-year-old's medical history, but the foot issue appears to be a minor concern.

Doubles twice, homers Bryant went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, two RBI, two runs scored and a walk in a 10-9 loss Sunday in Milwaukee.
Impact Bryant doubled and scored in the third, blasted a two-run homer in the fifth and doubled again in the eighth. It was his fourth three-hit game in July as he's posted a .338/.403/.662 with five homers this month. The 30-year-old has had some long hot streaks in his career and could salvage his first season in Colorado with a healthy, productive final two months.

Stays hot with three hits Bryant went 3-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in a 2-0 win over the Pirates on Saturday.
Impact Bryant has been on a tear lately. His three-hit game lifted his season-long average to .311, to go along with a .377 OBP. Bryant missed most of June with a lower back strain, but the issue appears not to be bothering him any longer. The 30-year-old left fielder is now slashing a blistering .395/.458/.767 over the last 15 days with four home runs during that stretch.

Move to paternity list official The Rockies officially placed Bryant (personal) on the paternity list Monday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post
Impact Bryant doesn't appear as a bench option on the Rockies' lineup card for Monday's game against the Padres while Sam Hilliard does, implying that the latter player was called up from Triple-A Albuquerque to replace Bryant on the active roster. Per MLB rules, Bryant is able to spend 1-to-3 days away from the team while on the paternity list, so fantasy managers likely shouldn't count on him returning to the lineup until Thursday's series finale with the Padres. Bryant exited late in Sunday's win over the Diamondbacks after experiencing cramping, but he should be ready to step back in as an everyday player once he rejoins the team.
JULY 11, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Headed for paternity leave Bryant is expected to be placed on the paternity list Monday while he awaits the birth of his child, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.
Impact Bryant exited Sunday's 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks due to cramping, but it'll be a personal matter that will keep him out for the start of the Rockies' home series with the Padres. Expect Colorado to officially place Bryant on the paternity list shortly before Monday's 8:40 p.m. ET opening pitch, with MLB rules allowing the 30-year-old to remain away from the team for 1-to-3 days. Bryant should be fully recovered from the cramping issue by then and will likely rejoin the lineup for Thursday's series finale with San Diego.

Removed due to cramping Bryant was removed from Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks in the eighth inning due to cramping, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Impact Although Bryant was replaced defensively in the eighth inning, manager Bud Black said after the game that the 30-year-old is fine. Prior to his departure, he went 1-for-3 with a walk. Bryant should be considered day-to-day ahead of Monday's series opener against the Padres.

Keeps mashing Saturday Bryant went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 9-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.
Impact Bryant continues to tap into his power in July, as he's gone yard four times in his last five games. That stretch accounts for all of his homers this season. He's gone 12-for-32 (.375) this month to raise his season slash line to .299/.358/.477 with 10 RBI and 21 runs scored through 28 contests overall.
