Whiffs six in no-decision Gausman allowed a run on three hits over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Sunday. He struck out six and walked none.

Impact Gausman was excellent in the outing, but perhaps he shouldn't have worked into the seventh inning. He allowed a one-out single to Cody Bellinger before Tyler Rogers came on in relief. It was Rogers who gave up a three-run homer three batters later to spoil Gausman's chances for his first win of the year. The 29-year-old Gausman has a 4.05 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 23 strikeouts over 20 innings this season. He'll next take the mound Saturday versus the Athletics.

Suffers loss Tuesday Gausman (0-1) took the loss against Colorado on Tuesday, pitching 5.1 innings and allowing four runs on five hits and one walk while striking out seven.

Impact Gausman's third start of the season wasn't a complete disaster -- he struck out seven batters and allowed only six baserunners in 5.1 frames -- but timely Colorado hitting was enough to saddle the right-hander with his first loss of the campaign. Gausman did do a number of things to inspire confidence in the contest, including throwing 62 of 83 pitches for strikes and registering his highest pitch count of the season. The 29-year-old will face a tough challenge when he heads to Los Angeles to take on the Dodgers on Sunday in his next scheduled start.

Unsteady in second outing Gausman allowed three runs on six hits and struck out eight batters in 4.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Thursday.

Impact The eight whiffs are nice, but Gausman got into trouble with a wild pitch in the third inning and a parade of hits to start the fourth. He threw 48 of his 73 pitches for strikes in the appearance. The right-hander has yet to get through five innings in 2020, with a 5.40 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 10:1 K:BB across two outings. Gausman is expected to face the Rockies at Coors Field on Tuesday.
