Impact Curtiss was diagnosed with a torn UCL in in right elbow a few days ago and is set to miss the rest of the season, so the Brewers' decision to move him to the 60-day IL is merely a formality. The right-hander has yet to decide whether to undergo Tommy John surgery to address the injury, though the procedure would seem to be a likely outcome.

Impact Curtiss exited Tuesday's contest with elbow discomfort and is now staring down an extended absence. The 28-year-old should miss the rest of the season and will likely require Tommy John surgery, which would also sidelined him for most, if not all, of the 2022 campaign.

Leaves with elbow discomfort Curtiss was removed from Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cubs with right elbow discomfort, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Impact Curtiss recorded two outs and allowed a run on two hits while recording a strikeout before leaving the field with an athletic trainer. The right-hander attempted to remain in the contest but was ultimately pulled by manager Craig Counsell. He should be considered day-to-day until the specifics of the injury are known.
