Placed on 10-day IL Pederson was placed on the 10-day injured list due to left wrist tendinitis, retroactive to April 21, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Impact Pederson had been out of the lineup for the last two games, and he's apparently dealing with a left wrist issue that will force him to miss additional time. It's not yet clear when Pederson will be able to return to action, but Jake Marisnick could see increased playing time in his absence. Nico Hoerner was recalled from the Cubs' alternate training site in a corresponding move.

Impact Pederson is still batting just .129 this season but he has now reached base in six straight games. The outfielder likely won't supply a great batting average anyways, but it'd be nice if he started producing more counting stats, as he's tallied just one home run, two runs scored and four RBI in 10 games for his new team. The whole Chicago lineup has been struggling, which has limited Pederson's chances to do much damage.
