Framber Valdez - Starting series finale Valdez will start Sunday's game against the Rangers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Impact Valdez was originally slated to start Monday, but the Astros appear set to return to a five-man rotation. He'll still be on regular rest and has worked at least seven innings in three of his last four starts. Ryan Gusto looks to be destined for a relief role as a result of this move.

Ryan Gusto - Appears out of bullpen Gusto threw a scoreless inning, allowing two walks while striking out one Saturday against the Rangers.
Impact Gusto was a candidate to start Sunday's game, but his recent struggles -- he's allowed 10 runs (seven earned) across his last four innings -- appear to have cost him his spot in the rotation. Framber Valdez is likely to start Sunday's game, though that has not yet been confirmed.

Evan Carter - Scratched from lineup Saturday Carter (quad) has been removed from the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Houston.
Impact Carter was originally slated to start in center field, but he's since been replaced by Sam Haggerty. According to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, Carter is dealing with right quad tightness, though manager Bruce Bochy called the outfielder's late scratch cautionary. Landry also reports that Carter was already slated to begin on the bench Sunday, and with the Rangers off Monday, that means Carter will get three total days of rest before potentially returning to action Tuesday versus the Yankees.

Jonah Heim - Taking seat Saturday Heim isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's contest against Houston.
Impact Heim will begin on the bench after starting behind the plate in each of the Rangers' previous two games. He'll give way to Kyle Higashioka, who returned from a stint on the injured list Tuesday.
