Stuck with fourth loss Fedde (2-4) took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks over five innings as the Nationals fell 6-2 to the Phillies. He struck out four.
Impact The right-hander continues to struggle with his control and his command. Fedde has issued multiple walks in four straight starts and served up four homers in his last three, leaving him with a 5.29 ERA and 32:16 K:BB through 32.1 innings on the year. Barring a turnaround over the next couple weeks, Fedde remains the most likely candidate to lose their rotation spot when Stephen Strasburg (shoulder) is back.

Hurt by long ball Wednesday Fedde (2-3) took the loss Wednesday, giving up five runs on five hits and two walks over five innings as the Nationals were downed 5-3 by Atlanta. He struck out three.
Impact All of Atlanta's runs scored on two homers, a Marcell Ozuna grand slam in the third inning and a William Contreras solo shot in the fourth. Fedde had only served up two home runs in five appearances coming into Wednesday, but the rough outing inflated his ERA to 5.27, although his 28:13 K:BB through 27.1 innings is solid. With Stephen Strasburg (shoulder) inching closer to a return, Fedde is running out of time to prove he deserves a spot in the rotation for the long haul.

Strong outing in win over Jays Fedde (2-2) picked up the win Wednesday, giving up one run on two hits and three walks over six innings in an 8-2 victory over the Blue Jays. He struck out seven.
Impact It was the first quality start of the season for the right-hander, who tossed 98 pitches (59 strikes) and would have come away unscathed if not for a solo homer by Lourdes Gurriel in the fifth inning. Fedde will take a 4.43 ERA and 25:11 K:BB through 22.1 innings into his next outing.

Stuck with second loss Fedde (1-2) took the loss Friday, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over five innings as the Nationals were downed 6-0 by the Mets. He struck out three.
Impact The right-hander held the Mets off the board until the fifth inning, but with Jacob deGrom doing deGrom things opposite him, Fedde has no margin for error. The Nats' injury situation should keep him in the rotation a while longer despite a 5.51 ERA, but Fedde's 18:8 K:BB through 16.1 innings suggests he's been a bit unlucky. He'll next take the mound Wednesday on the road against the Blue Jays.

Whiffs nine in first win Fedde (1-1) earned the win Saturday against the Diamondbacks after allowing one run on five hits with nine strikeouts and one walk across five innings.
Impact The 28-year-old pitched well for the second straight start after surrendering six runs (five earned) over 1.2 innings during his season debut. Fedde lines up to pitch next weekend against the Mets, though he could get bumped out of the rotation if Jon Lester (COVID-19 protocols) is cleared for his first start of the season.

Solid in no-decision Fedde gave up a run on two hits and two walks while fanning five across 4.2 innings Monday against the Cardinals. He didn't factor into the decision.
Impact Fedde was just one out away from qualifying for the win, but he still delivered a strong effort on the mound. This outing was certainly a step in the right direction after he was rocked for six runs (five earned) on six hits with three walks and one strikeout over 1.2 innings against Atlanta on April 7.
