GAME LOG

INJURIES

Goes four frames Monday Fedde completed four innings in a no-decision against Texas on Monday, allowing two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out six batters.
Impact Though he didn't go very deep, Fedde was decently effective, racking up six punchouts and retiring the final eight batters he faced. The veteran right-hander has logged five or fewer frames in nine of his past 10 outings, but that approach seems to be working for him -- he's posted a 2.68 ERA while going 5-1 with a 35:15 K:BB across 43.2 innings during that span. Fedde has worked as both a traditional starter and a bulk reliever throughout the campaign, and though he doesn't have the most overpowering stuff, recent results suggest Chicago is getting the most out of the hurler by astutely managing how he is used.

Nabs win in bulk relief Fedde (5-6) picked up the win in Saturday's 1-0 victory over the A's, allowing two hits and one walk over four scoreless innings of relief. He struck out three.
Impact Entering the game to begin the third inning after opener Bryan Hudson and Chris Murphy had worked a frame each, Fedde kept the combined shutout going over 55 pitches (33 strikes). The veteran right-hander has found success in a sheltered bulk relief role, and since the beginning of June he's delivered a 2.27 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 26:12 K:BB through 35.2 innings over eight outings.

Likely to fill bulk-relief role Fedde is expected to work in bulk relief behind opening pitcher Bryan Hudson in Saturday's game against the Athletics, Brooke Fletcher of Chicago Sports Network reports.
Impact Fedde remains part of Chicago's rotation, but he's been used as a traditional starter just once in his last six outings. Hudson is expected to cover an inning or two before turning the game over to Fedde, who owns a 4.20 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 29:17 K:BB in 40.2 innings out of the bullpen this season.

Works around trouble in fourth win Fedde (4-6) notched the win Sunday against the Guardians, allowing three runs (two earned) on eight hits and one walk in 5.1 innings of relief. He struck out four.
Impact A fielding error by Colston Montgomery kept an earned run off Fedde's line in the fifth inning in what was the hurler's longest outing since April 29 against the Angels. The 33-year-old right-hander hasn't been particularly effective at missing bats in 2026, fanning more than four on just one occasion through 18 appearances. Fedde will bring a pedestrian 4.34 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 57:34 K:BB over 85 innings into his next scheduled outing against the Athletics.

Working in bulk relief Sunday Fedde is expected to pitch in bulk relief behind opening pitcher Chris Murphy in Sunday's game against the Guardians, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Impact On Saturday, the Guardians lineup featured left-handed hitters or switch hitters in the top seven spots, so the White Sox will have the left-handed Murphy open the series finale with the aim of forcing Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt to adjust his batting order. Murphy will likely work the first inning or two before handing the ball over to the right-handed Fedde, who owns a 4.33 ERA and 1.58 WHIP over his eight appearances out of the bullpen this season.

Plenty of support in third win Fedde (3-6) picked up the win Tuesday, giving up three runs on five hits and three walks over five innings in a 9-3 victory over the Orioles. He struck out three.
Impact It wasn't a particularly sharp performance from the right-hander, who tossed 54 of 90 pitches for strikes, but the White Sox backed Fedde with a seven-run third inning that decided the game early. It's the first time in four outings that Fedde has lasted five innings and he hasn't served up a homer in any of them, posting a 3.31 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 13:9 K:BB over 16.1 innings during that stretch. He'll look to build on this effort in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in Cleveland.

Avoids serious damage in bulk role Fedde didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Guardians, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks over four innings of relie...
Impact Working behind opener Chris Murphy, Fedde dealt with traffic on the basepaths in every frame he was on the mound for, but the veteran right-hander was able to keep Cleveland off the board until finally buckling in the sixth inning and getting lifted after 75 pitches (44 strikes). Fedde was on the hook for his seventh loss of 2026, but he escaped when the White Sox tied it up in the ninth off Guardians closer Cade Smith. Fedde has been stingy over five appearances (one start) in June, posting a 1.69 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 16:7 K:BB through 21.1 innings. His next turn through the rotation, either as a traditional starter or bulk reliever, is scheduled to come on the road early next week in Baltimore.

Working behind opener Wednesday Fedde is slated to pitch in bulk relief behind opening pitcher Chris Murphy in Wednesday's game against the Guardians, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.
Impact Fedde remains part of the rotation, but the White Sox have taken a liking to deploying him behind an opener in recent weeks. He'll work out of the bullpen for the sixth time in his last seven appearances, likely entering the contest in the second or third inning once Murphy departs.

Fans four during loss Fedde (2-6) took the loss Friday, giving up two earned runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four batters across 4.2 innings in long relief.
Impact Fedde entered the game during the second inning with Chicago already trailing 2-1 and was able to keep the Tigers off the scoreboard for four innings while the White Sox's offense put up a run in the fifth to tie the game and then took a 3-2 lead in the top of the sixth. That lead was short-lived, however, as Fedde gave up a leadoff single to Dillon Dingler to begin the next half-inning and walked Riley Greene before Kerry Carpenter scored both runners on a double. Despite Friday's result, Fedde has remained fairly reliable since the start of June, posting a 1.56 ERA and 1.10 WHIP alongside a 14:4 K:BB over 17.1 innings across his last four outings. He's tentatively scheduled to make his next appearance against a Guardians lineup that's posted just a .620 OPS across its last 10 games.

Will follow opener Friday Fedde is slated to serve as the bulk reliever in Friday's game versus the Tigers, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Impact Lefty Brandon Eisert will open for the White Sox before handing things off to the right-handed Fedde. It will be the seventh bulk relief assignment this season for Fedde, who holds a 4.73 ERA and 19:12 K:BB over 26.2 frames in his first seven outings in such situations.

Earns second win in relief Sunday Fedde (2-5) earned the win Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out four over 2.2 scoreless innings of relief.
Impact Fedde entered in the fourth inning after Bryan Hudson and Sean Newcomb combined for 3.1 innings of one-run ball. The right-hander struck out two batters to finish the fourth before working around traffic in each of the next two frames. He stranded runners on the corners in both the fifth and sixth innings to preserve Chicago's lead and ultimately pick up his second win of the season. Fedde has pitched well of late, posting a 1.62 ERA across his last four appearances and he now owns a 4.50 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 44:26 K:BB across 66 innings this season. The 33-year-old is scheduled to face Detroit on the road in his next outing.

Serving in bulk relief Sunday Fedde is slated to work in bulk relief behind opening pitcher Bryan Hudson in Sunday's game against the Dodgers, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.
Impact The White Sox will likely have the left-handed Hudson work the first inning or two before he turns the game over to Fedde, who has made five of his first 13 appearances of the season out of the bullpen. In those outings, Fedde has turned in a 5.25 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 15:10 K:BB over 24 innings.

Limits damage in bulk-relief role Fedde did not factor into the decision Tuesday against Atlanta, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out one over five innings.
Impact Working behind opener Brandon Eisert, Fedde entered with two outs and two runners aboard in the first inning after Eisert had already surrendered two runs. The veteran right-hander settled in nicely and helped keep the White Sox in the game, though he did allow a solo homer to Matt Olson in the third inning. Another run crossed the plate later in the frame when Fedde committed a throwing error. He has now allowed two or fewer earned runs in three straight outings and he now sports a 4.69 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 40:24 K:BB across 63.1 innings. Fedde will face a difficult test in his next scheduled start against the Dodgers.
