Impact Baez has seen action in center field in three games this season with the Tigers, but this will be his first-ever start at any outfield position at the major-league level. He could play the position fairly frequently while Parker Meadows (shoulder) continues to recover.

Impact It's possible Carpenter's status changes if he doesn't recover as quickly as hoped from right hamstring soreness, but for now the Tigers are considering him day-to-day. Riley Greene and Zach McKinstry are in the corner outfield spots for the Tigers on Monday, while Colt Keith will be the designated hitter.

Impact Jung has slashed .239/.409/.463 with three homers over his first 19 games at Toledo this season and could see regular reps at third base for the Tigers against right-handed pitching. The 24-year-old played in 34 contests with Detroit last season, hitting .241/.362/.304 with zero home runs and a 30.9 percent strikeout rate.

Impact Kreidler has served as the Tigers' primary center fielder this season while Austin Meadows (shoulder) is shelved, but his playing time had dipped recently and the club has now elected to replace him on the roster. Javier Baez is drawing his first career start in center field Monday and Riley Greene will also be used at the position as Meadows continues to work his way back.
