Allows three HR in no-decision
Javier allowed three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out nine in a no-decision to Oakland on Tuesday.
Impact
Javier worked around three solo home runs and left with the game tied after six innings. The right-hander works up in the zone, so there is the potential for flyballs and homers. It's surprising he didn't allow any long balls in four April starts, but it's all catching up to him now. Javier's allowed seven HRs in 23.1 innings over four May starts (one loss, three no-decisions). His next start is expected to be Sunday on the road against Texas.

Fans six in no-decision
Javier took a no-decision during Thursday's win over the Rangers, allowing three runs on four hits and a pair of walks while striking out six over seven innings.
Impact
Javier gave up a run over each of his first three innings of work, including a solo homer to Willie Calhoun in the first. From there, the 24-year-old found his groove, blanking the Rangers the rest of the way while throwing 59 of his 99 pitches for strikes in the process. It was a promising bounce-back outing following two labored starts for Javier, during which he gave up a total of eight runs, including three homers. The righty, who has compiled a 3.08 ERA and 0.97 WHIP on the season, lines up to take on the A's in Oakland on Wednesday.

Takes first loss Saturday
Javier (3-1) allowed five earned runs on four hits and four walks while striking out eight across 5.1 innings Saturday, taking the loss to the Blue Jays.
Impact
Javier served up multiple home runs for the first time this season. His five runs allowed Saturday matched his previous season total through 25.2 innings. The 24-year-old has a 7.13 ERA in 10.1 innings over his last two outings versus a 0.87 ERA in 20.2 innings over his first four starts. In addition, his eight walks are a season high for him. His high-strikeouts totals are consistent though, supporting a 11.03 K/9. Javier will look to get back on track Thursday against Texas.

Yields three runs in no-decision
Javier allowed three runs on four hits and two walks over five innings in Sunday's loss to the Rays. He struck out four and did not factor in the decision.
Impact
Javier kept the Rays scoreless through four innings until serving up a three-run shot to Austin Meadows in the fifth. Houston took the lead in the top of the sixth so the 24-year-old was in line for a win before Tampa Bay came back against the bullpen. Javier still owns a terrific 1.75 ERA and 30:8 K:BB through 25.2 innings. He's lined up to face the Blue Jays at home next weekend.

Dominant again Tuesday
Javier (3-0) pitched seven scoreless innings to earn the win over Seattle on Tuesday. He allowed two hits and three walks while striking out six.
Impact
The right-hander made things look easy again, allowing only a pair of hits -- both to Kyle Seager -- and preventing the Mariners from reaching third base. He completed seven innings for the first time in his career and stretched his streak of consecutive scoreless frames to 17. Javier's ERA now stands at a sterling 0.87 through 20.2 innings, and he has complemented that minuscule mark with a 26:6 K:BB. The second-year emerging star will look to continue his hot streak when he faces the Rays on the road Sunday.

Whiffs nine in win
Javier (2-0) earned the win Thursday after holding the Angels scoreless across five innings, giving up three hits and a walk while striking out nine.
Impact
Javier was lights out in his return to the rotation during a dominant performance against the Angels, recording a career-high nine strikeouts en route to the victory. Overall, the 24-year-old's pitch count was on the high side with 98 pitches--62 for strikes--to go with 21 swings and misses. Javier, making his first start in nearly two weeks due to Houston's light schedule, was recalled from Houston's alternate training site ahead of Thursday's game. The right-hander will look to carry his momentum into a Tuesday showdown against Seattle.
