Impact Montero appeared in seven Cactus League games this spring and went 5-for-19 with a home run, a double, three RBI, two runs and a strikeout. He progressed to Triple-A Albuquerque last year and will likely report there to begin the regular season in 2022.

Ezequiel Tovar - Sent to minor-league camp Tovar was optioned to minor-league spring training Saturday.
Impact Tovar was added to the Rockies' Rule 5 draft in November, and he worked with the major-league coaching staff to begin spring training. He went 9-for-16 with three homers, a double, six RBI, five runs, a stolen base and a strikeout across seven Cactus League appearances this spring, but he'll presumably begin the 2022 campaign at High-A Spokane.

Noah Davis - Optioned to minor-league camp Davis was optioned to the Rockies' minor-league camp Saturday.
Impact Davis was added to Colorado's 40-man roster in November to protect him from the Rule 5 draft, and he allowed no hits and a walk while striking out four in two relief innings this spring. He'll likely begin the 2022 campaign at High-A Spokane.

Andrelton Simmons - Hampered by shoulder issue Simmons is dealing with right shoulder soreness, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Impact Simmons signed with the Cubs in early March, but he has reportedly made little progress towards game action. It's unclear how long he will be sidelined by the issue, but his status for Opening Day is certainly in doubt. Nico Hoerner would be the likely playing time beneficiary if Simmons begins the season on the injured list.
