Impact VanMeter took Chi Chi Gonzalez deep in the fifth inning. The long ball was just the second of the year for the 26-year-old, who despite a slight uptick in playing time since his latest callup, is batting a disappointing .179/.296/.302 across 52 games.

Dom Nuñez - Doubles twice Nunez went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored, one RBI and a walk during Thursday's win over the Diamondbacks.
Impact Nunez cranked an RBI double in the second inning, then swatted his second of the day in the ninth. It was just the fifth multi-hit effort of the season for Nunez, who lost the primarily backstop role to Elias Diaz last month. Across 52 games, the 26-year-old is batting .174/.275/.362 with nine doubles.

Jake Faria - Strong in no-decision Faria did not factor into the decision during Thursday's loss to the Rockies. He allowed two runs on five hits and a pair of walks while striking out four across five innings.
Impact It was the longest and strongest outing of the season for Faria, who threw 86 pitches, including 55 for strikes. Despite the improved effort, the Diamondbacks have unfortunately lost all six of their contests with Faria on the mound, rendering a weak security in the rotation for the right-hander. Across six appearances (three starts), Faria has compiled a 4.76 ERA and 1.35 WHIP.

Chi Chi González - Earns third win Gonzalez (3-5) picked up the win Thursday after holding the Diamondbacks to three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five across five innings.
Impact Most of his damage came via a two-run homer off the bat of Josh VanMeter in the fifth inning. The long ball has victimized the right-hander as of late, as he's surrendered at least one homer across six straight starts, allowing 24 runs in that span. Gonzalez finishes the first half of the season with a 5.51 ERA and 1.41 WHIP.

C.J. Cron - Clears concussion protocol Cron is doing okay after being hit in the head by a pitch Thursday, and he cleared concussion protocol, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.
Impact Cron exited the game in the seventh inning, though manager Bud Black stated it was as a precaution. It appears he could be able to return to the lineup Friday against San Diego as a result. If not, Joshua Fuentes figures to see an uptick in playing time.
