Zach Plesac - Lines up to start Friday Plesac (hand) is tentatively scheduled to return from the 15-day injured list to start Friday against the Royals, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
Impact Plesac landed on the injured list with a fractured right hand Sept. 2, but he should be able to make at least one start prior to the end of the regular season. He threw 45 pitches during a simulated game Tuesday, so it seems likely that he'll be on a pitch count during his return to game action. However, if the right-hander ultimately starts Friday's matchup, it's possible that he'll make another start during the Guardians' regular-season finale against Kansas City on Oct. 5.

Impact The veteran made the most of a single and a walk as he came around to score both times. He now has 18 runs scored in 23 September contests, during which he is batting .337 (32-for-95). On the season, Semien is slashing .254/.312/.438 with 78 RBI and 96 runs scored, which is tied for fifth in the majors.

Myles Straw - Swipes 19th bag Straw went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 10-4 victory over the Rangers.
Impact Straw singled and came around to score in the third before he singled and stole second base in the fifth. The multi-hit effort was his seventh this month and the stolen base his 19th on the season. Straw is hitting .321 (27-for-84) in September with four stolen bases and 13 runs scored but has just five RBI and no home runs in the month.
