Max Schrock - Leaves game with trainer Schrock exited Monday's game against the Phillies in the bottom of the seventh inning with an apparent injury, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Impact Schrock hit a double in the bottom of the seventh, but he appeared to come up limping and left the game with a trainer as a result. He was dominant prior to his exit, as he went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, a double and three RBI. The nature and severity of Schrock's injury aren't yet clear.

Kohl Stewart - Call-up official The Cubs recalled Stewart from Triple-A Iowa ahead of his scheduled start Monday against the Padres.

Impact The Cubs placed Trevor Williams (appendicitis) on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move, so Stewart will presumably fill Williams' spot in the rotation for as long as he's sidelined. Stewart tentatively lines up for a two-start week, with his second turn scheduled for Saturday's game in San Francisco. Over his four outings with Iowa on the season, Stewart posted a 3.68 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 23:5 K:BB in 22 innings.

Trevor Williams - Placed on 10-day IL Williams (appendicitis) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday, Russell Dorsey of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Impact Williams was scheduled to start Monday's game against the Padres but underwent an appendectomy Sunday. He doesn't have a timetable for his return, but he's scheduled to meet with a doctor Thursday, Gordon Wittenmyer of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Right-hander Kohl Stewart was recalled to start Monday's game, and he could continue to start in Williams' place until he's cleared to return.
