Impact Fairchild collided with the outfield wall in the top of the second while attempting to rob a home run, and though he stayed in the game until the Reds recorded the final out of the frame, he was replaced in the field by TJ Hopkins in the next inning. Since he's still being checked out for a concussion at this stage and hasn't been diagnosed with a brain injury, Fairchild may not immediately land on the 7-day injured list until the Reds complete their evaluation. The 27-year-old has been handling a near-everyday role in the outfield of late since Jake Fraley (toe) landed on the injured list earlier this month.

Christian Encarnacion-Strand - Steals first career base Encarnacion-Strand went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's loss to the Blue Jays.

Impact One night after his first career walk-off homer, Encarnacion-Strand notched the first steal of his young career, serving as the trail runner in a ninth-inning double steal. Considering he stole just two bases in 67 minor-league games this year, it's unlikely that the 23-year-old will have the green light on the basepaths. Encarnacion-Strand has now hit safely in eight of his last 10 games, boasting a .278/.366/.528 slash line with three homers, six RBI, four runs scored and a steal across 41 plate appearances during that stretch. However, the rookie's 36.6% strikeout rate during that same time frame certainly causes some concern.

Hunter Greene - Activated ahead of start Sunday The Reds reinstated Greene (hip) from the 60-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Impact Greene ended up spending just over the minimum 60 days on the IL, as he'll be returning to the Cincinnati rotation for the first time since June 17 after making a full recovery from right hip discomfort. The young right-hander assuaged any lingering concerns about his health by turning in a dominant four-start rehab assignment between the rookie-level Arizona Complex League and Triple-A Louisville in which he compiled a 2.57 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB in 14 innings. Greene tossed 83 pitches and 5.2 innings in his final rehab outing Tuesday, so he's unlikely to face any major workload restrictions in his return from the IL.

Brandon Williamson - Allows four runs in loss Williamson (4-3) took the loss Saturday, allowing four runs on nine hits and one walk over 5.2 innings against Toronto. He struck out six.

Impact Williamson allowed nine hits to Toronto, eight of which were singles, including a string of three consecutive run-scoring base knocks in the fourth inning. The one extra-base hit surrendered by the 25-year-old was a fifth-inning solo homer by Davis Schneider, which gave the Blue Jays a 4-3 lead and proved to be the difference. After a challenging start to his rookie campaign, Williamson has pitched well since the start of July, posting a 3.38 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 47:15 K:BB across 48 innings during that stretch. He currently lines up to face Arizona on the road next week.
