Impact Rodriguez was traded from the Mets to the Reds at last year's trade deadline as part of a package that sent Tyler Naquin and Phillip Diehl to New York. The 19-year-old lefty hitter slashed .293/.347/.510 with 16 home runs, 18 steals and an 18.9 percent strikeout rate at Single-A Daytona while seeing time in center field and left field.

Noelvi Marte - Bats leadoff in nightcap Marte started at third base, batted leadoff, and went 0-for-4 with an RBI in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader sweep of the Angels. He did not play in the matinee.
Impact Marte's eighth-inning groundout produced his first MLB RBI since being called up last Saturday. The righty-hitting infielder was moved up from the bottom of the order to the leadoff spot, as injuries forced manager David Bell to make a change against left-handed starters. Most recently, Kevin Newman (oblique) or Stuart Fairchild (concussion) batted atop the order against southpaws. The manager opted for Marte, in just his third start in the majors, against Angels lefty Reid Detmers.

Spencer Steer - Hits in both ends of doubleheader Steer went 3-for-4 with a walk and two RBI in the first game of the Wednesday's doubleheader sweep of the Angels. He added a hit, two walks and and RBI in the nightcap.
Impact Steer has hit safely in four straight games and at least one RBI in three straight. He's batting .280 (21-for-75) over 20 games while driving in 12 runs during August, placing him atop the club with 70 RBI for the season. Steer, who has bounced around the order all season, has primary batted cleanup this month.

Impact McLain had himself a day, going a combined 3-for-8 with a home run, three RBI, two stolen bases and five total runs across both games. Batting second or third in the order since being called up in May, McLain is second on the club with 63 runs scored over 85 games.

Jonathan India - Ready to run India (foot) traveled to the Reds' training complex in Goodyear (Ariz.) where he was slated to begin running on an anti-gravity treadmill Wednesday, MLB.com reports.
Impact The treadmill would enable India to resume running without putting pressure on the foot. The infielder is also scheduled for another MRI to determine the status of his left foot plantar fasciitis. India received positive news from a specialist Tuesday and could return early September, if he suffers no setbacks.
