Dillon Peters - Resumes throwing Pirates director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk said Wednesday that Peters (back) has resumed throwing, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Impact Peters landed on the 10-day injured list with a lower-back strain last week, and he won't have enough time to ramp up his workload prior to the end of the regular season. The southpaw's injury carries a recovery timetable of approximately three weeks, so he should have a fairly normal offseason. Peters made six starts in the big leagues this year and recorded a 3.71 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in 26.2 innings.

Impact Brubaker will increase his throwing distance by playing catch off flat ground from 120 feet in the coming days, and he'll use all of his pitches during the throwing session.
