Night of firsts Monday Marlowe went 1-for-2 with a stolen base in an extra-inning loss to the Twins on Monday.

Impact The rookie drew his second start since his Thursday promotion from Triple-A Tacoma and recorded both his first big-league hit and stolen base. Marlowe figures to continue see relatively sporadic playing time during his time with the big-league club, although his stint could extend for several more weeks given Jarred Kelenic (foot) and AJ Pollock (hamstring) are slated for longer-than-minimum IL stays.

Impact He suffered an oblique strain March 10, which cut his time in spring training short and delayed his start to the season at Triple-A. Marlowe turns 26 in June, so he is on the older side for a legitimate prospect, but he has above-average power and above-average speed and could get a look in the majors this season if any of the top three or four big-league outfielders suffers an injury.
