Mixed bag in third loss
Sproat (1-3) took the loss Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing three runs on four hits and four walks in four-plus innings. He struck out seven.
Impact
Although Sproat did register a career-high seven punchouts, he was unable to record an out in the fifth inning before being chased. The 25-year-old right-hander has now issued multiple free passes in nine of his 10 appearances on the year but has been especially wild as of late, walking at least three while also hitting a batter in three of his past four outings. Sproat will take a rough 5.84 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 48:27 K:BB over 44.2 frames into his next scheduled start against the Astros in Houston.

Pulled short of qualifying for win
Sproat allowed three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out five batters over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Monday.
Impact
Sproat not only looked to be in line for an easy victory after the Brewers built an 8-0 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth inning, he was also working on a no-hitter at that point. However, the right-hander couldn't get the final three outs he needed to qualify for the victory, giving up three runs on three hits and a walk before he was pulled with two outs in the fifth. That certainly resulted in a disappointing outing for Sproat, who had picked up his first victory as a major-leaguer in his previous start. He'll look to go deeper the next time he takes the mound, which lines up to be this weekend against the Dodgers.

Notches first MLB victory
Sproat (1-2) earned the win over San Diego on Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six batters over 5.1 innings.
Impact
Sproat held the Padres out of the scoring column until Nick Castellanos banged a two-run single off him in the fourth frame. The righty hurler then served up a solo homer to Miguel Andujar in the sixth, but Milwaukee's offense gave him enough of a cushion to grab the win. The victory was the first of Sproat's big-league career in his 12th appearance (and 10th start). His ERA on the season still sits at an unattractive 5.75, though he has plenty to build off from Monday's outing. Beyond recording the victory, Sproat racked up 15 whiffs and reached five frames for the first time in his past three outings.

Inefficient in no-decision
Sproat didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Cardinals, allowing one hit and three walks over four scoreless innings. He struck out five.
Impact
The young right-hander needed 76 pitches (42 strikes) to record 12 outs, getting lifted short of his first career MLB win despite having been staked to a 4-0 lead in the first inning. Sproat will take a 5.87 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 30:18 K:BB through 30.2 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home early next week against the Padres.

Tuesday's start rained out
Sproat and the Brewers won't play the Cardinals on Tuesday, as the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Impact
The two sides will play a doubleheader July 7 to make up for Tuesday's contest, and Sproat will likely get the nod to start Wednesday's series finale. The 25-year-old has struggled to begin his time with the Brewers, posting a 6.75 ERA and 1.61 WHIP through his first 26.2 innings.

Yields two homers in loss
Sproat (0-2) allowed four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five over 4.1 innings to take the loss versus the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
Impact
Sproat kept runs off the board until the fourth inning, when Adrian Del Castillo tagged him for a solo shot and Nolan Arenado followed up with a three-run homer. It's the first time since his first outing of the year that Sproat has given up multiple homers. He threw 52 of 82 pitches for strikes, but this outing was a reversion to his earlier struggles this year when it comes to pitching deeper into games. He's sporting a 6.75 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 25:15 K:BB across 26.2 innings over six appearances (four starts). Sproat is tentatively lined up for a matchup in St. Louis early next week, but his performance so far has been mixed at best.

No-decision vs. Tigers
Sproat did not factor into the decision Thursday against the Tigers, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.
Impact
Sproat gave up a two-run homer to Riley Greene with two outs in the first inning, but he'd settle in and hold Detroit off the board until the sixth inning, when they'd tack on another run. The 25-year-old Sproat had given up two runs over 10.1 innings in his previous two outings. Overall, his ERA sits at 6.45 with a 1.57 WHIP and 20:13 K:BB across 22.1 innings this season. Sproat tentatively lines up to face the Diamondbacks at home in his next start.
