Bounces back versus Brewers Brown (3-2) allowed four hits and struck out four without walking a batter over six shutout innings to earn the win Friday over the Brewers.
Impact Brown surrendered six runs in his last start, but he bounced back with his second quality start of the campaign. While the four strikeouts represented a season low, this was an encouraging performance overall for the 25-year-old right-hander. He's now at a 4.88 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 35:14 K:BB over 31.1 innings across seven outings (six starts) in 2025. Brown is projected to make his next start at home versus the Giants.

Tagged for six runs in loss Brown (2-2) took the loss against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing six runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out five across 3.2 innings.
Impact Brown went through the first three frames with relative ease but got rocked in the fourth inning, allowing a base runner in five straight at-bats and giving up six runs before being lifted for Drew Pomeranz. Brown has yielded at least five runs in two of his last four outings and has allowed 34 hits through 25.1 innings, which is fifth-most among qualified starters in the National League. He'll look to rebound in his next start, tentatively slated for next weekend on the road against Milwaukee.

Falls short of win Saturday Brown came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Diamondbacks, allowing one run on three hits and four walks over four innings. He struck out six.
Impact The 25-year-old righty ran up his pitch count and couldn't qualify for the win, needing 100 pitches (63 strikes) to record 12 outs before exiting. Brown did rack up 38 called or swinging strikes, as he tries to build a case to remain in the rotation when Javier Assad (oblique) comes off the IL. Brown will take a 4.57 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and 26:13 K:BB through 21.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Phillies.

Brown has pitched in four games this season -- three times as a starter and once in relief -- and has posted a 5.09 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and 20:9 K:BB over 17.2 frames. Shaky outing versus Padres Brown allowed five runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out five over four innings Sunday versus the Padres. He did not factor into the decision.
Impact Brown needed 35 pitches to complete a disastrous first inning during which he allowed three runs while facing all nine batters in the Padres lineup. He responded with consecutive scoreless innings but surrendered a two-out, two-run homer to Jackson Merrill in the fourth. Brown's shaky command returned after he showed some improvement his last time out. He hasn't looked comfortable as a starter yet and lines up for a difficult matchup on the road against the Dodgers next weekend.
