Kyle Higashioka - Managing hamstring injury Higashioka reported tightness in his hamstring Wednesday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Impact The Rangers are going to hold off on placing Higashioka on the injured list for now, but he may need a trip to the IL if his condition doesn't improve after a few days of rest. Tucker Barnhart was added to the active roster from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday to give Texas another option behind the plate while Higashioka recovers.

Tucker Barnhart - Joins big club The Rangers selected Barnhart's contract from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact Barnhart will join the major-league roster for the first time this season to provide Texas with some depth behind the plate while Kyle Higashioka nurses a hamstring injury. Barnhart owns just a .541 OPS in the majors since 2022 but has shown more promise in the minors this year with a .246/.354/.391 slash line through 89 plate appearances.

Dane Dunning - Designated for assignment The Rangers designated Dunning for assignment Wednesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact Dunning made one appearance after being selected to the active roster Monday, allowing two runs over three innings. He'll now be stripped of his 40-man spot to make room for Tucker Barnhart, who was promoted from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday. With a poor MLB track record and a 5.40 ERA in the minors this year, it's likely Dunning passes through waivers unclaimed.

José Leclerc - Shifted to 60-day injured list The Athletics transferred Leclerc (lat) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.
Impact Leclerc landed on the 15-day injured list one week ago with a right lat strain and had been slated to receive a second opinion on the injury this week. It's not clear what exactly the results of that exam were, but clearly the A's are not expecting the reliever back anytime soon.
