Brady Basso - Heads to 60-day IL The Athletics transferred Basso (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.
Impact As a result of the transaction, Basso won't be eligible to make his 2025 debut with the Athletics until late May. According to MLB.com, Basso had been taking part in a throwing program by the end of spring training, but it's not yet clear if he's reached the point in his rehab where he's throwing bullpen sessions or facing hitters. Basso will eventually head out on a rehab assignment and could need most of the 30-day window to get stretched back out for a starting role. The 27-year-old lefty reached the majors for the first time last season, making seven appearances (four starts) for the Athletics while turning in a 4.03 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 19:5 K:BB in 22.1 innings.

Jason Alexander - Receives call-up The Athletics selected Alexander's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.
Impact Alexander will provide length out of the bullpen after the Athletics leaned heavily on their relievers to cover innings during their weekend series at Coors Field. The 32-year-old previously made 18 appearances at the major-league level in 2022 with the Brewers, collecting a 5.40 ERA and 46:28 K:BB over 71.2 frames.

Joey Estes - Optioned to Triple-A The Athletics optioned Estes to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.
Impact Estes was pummeled for 12 runs over seven innings of work in his two starts and it has cost him his spot in the rotation and on the roster. The Athletics have not revealed who will replace Estes in the rotation, but Mitch Spence is an obvious candidate.

Ryan Lasko - Out with undisclosed injury High-A Lansing placed Lasko on the injured list with an undisclosed injury, Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline reports.
Impact The No. 41 overall pick in 2023, Lasko hit .245 with two home runs and 13 steals in 41 games for Lansing a year ago. He turns 23 in June and projects as a speedy bench outfielder.
APRIL 7, 2025 ROTOWIRE
Jordan Beck - Sent to Triple-A The Rockies optioned Beck to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.
Impact Colorado isn't expected to announce a corresponding transaction until Tuesday, but prospect Zac Veen is likely to be called up from Albuquerque to replace Beck on the 26-man active roster ahead of the team's three-game series versus the Brewers. Beck secured a starting role coming out of spring training but had lost out on playing time to Mickey Moniak of late, cracking the lineup in just two of the Rockies' last five games. The 23-year-old will get the chance to play on an everyday basis in Albuquerque and will look to right the ship after slashing .150/.261/.150 with eight strikeouts over his 23 plate appearances for Colorado.
