Javier Báez - Out of Monday's lineup Baez (heel) is out of the lineup Monday against the Reds.
Impact Baez was removed from Sunday's win over the Diamondbacks due to the injury and will be out of the lineup for at least one contest. Manager David Ross initially labeled it a lower body injury, but it's apparently a bruised heel that cropped up when he stepped awkwardly on a base, per Gordon Wittenmyer of NBC Sports Chicago. Nico Hoerner will shift to shortstop Monday while David Bote starts at the keystone.

Ian Happ - Remains on bench Happ isn't in the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.
Impact Happ has gone hitless with a strikeout in his last 10 at-bats, and he'll be excluded from the lineup for a fourth consecutive contest. Jake Marisnick will take his place in center field and bat seventh.
JULY 26, 2021 ROTOWIRE
Jason Heyward - Takes seat Monday Heyward isn't starting Monday's game against the Reds.
Impact Heyward will be out of the lineup for a second straight game after he went 1-for-8 with two strikeouts across his last two appearances. Kris Bryant will start in right field while Matt Duffy enters the lineup at third base.
JULY 26, 2021 ROTOWIRE
Taylor Widener - Remains in rotation this week Widener is scheduled to make his next start Tuesday against the Rangers in Arlington.
Impact Summoned from Triple-A Reno on July 20 when the Diamondbacks required a fifth starter for the first time since the All-Star break, Widener lasted just 4.2 innings against a hapless Pirates squad, giving up five runs on eight hits and one walk. On a positive note, he struck out a season-high eight batters in the outing, and he still maintains a solid 3.55 ERA and 1.27 WHIP across seven starts with the big club on the campaign. Arizona isn't exactly overflowing with appealing alternatives for the rotation, so Widener should have some longevity as the team's fourth or fifth starter.
