Ketel Marte - Scratched from lineup Marte was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles due to lower-back tightness, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Impact It's the second straight day on the bench for Mayo, who has struggled through his first 12 games of 2026 with a .158/.273/.184 slash line and 29.5 percent strikeout rate in 44 plate appearances. Blaze Alexander is picking up another start at third base Tuesday for Baltimore.

Pavin Smith - Slated for surgery Manager Torey Lovullo said Tuesday that Smith will undergo surgery to remove loose bodies from his left elbow, Diamondbacks radio announcer Chris Garagiola reports.

Impact Smith originally landed on the injured list in late March due to elbow inflammation before being transferred to the 60-day IL on Tuesday. His surgery is expected to keep him sidelined for approximately 6-to-8 weeks, lining him up to return sometime in late May or early June. Adrian Del Castillo and Jose Fernandez have been in the mix for starts at DH while Smith has been out.
