Four teams from Europe booked their spots into the World Cup. And once again, four-time tournament champion Italy will NOT be part of the world's biggest sporting event.
Italy will now have gone three straight editions of not reaching the World Cup, with their last appearance now being in 2014. Instead, it was Bosnia & Herzegovina who eliminated the Azzurri on penalties.
Czechia, Sweden and Turkiye also advanced to the 48-team tournament.
