Impact Perez understandably won't be in attendance for the FedExCup Fall finale after electing to join LIV Golf in 2026, with Tommy Gainey now taking his spot in the field at Sea Island this week. Perez figures to make his LIV Golf debut in early February at Riyadh Golf Club.

Joining LIV Golf in 2026 Perez has a signed a deal with LIV Golf and will play for Cleeks GC in 2026, Tom Kershaw of The Times reports.

Impact A number of names have been rumored to defect from the PGA Tour and join LIV Golf for 2026, but Perez will be the first man to jump ship. The Frenchman was on the outside looking in to retain status for next year on the PGA Tour, so it's a good time for him to join. Perez will join Adrian Meronk, Richard Bland and Martin Kaymer on Cleeks GC next year.

Impact Perez may have had the shot of the tournament on Friday, after making the only hole-in-one for the week on the par 3 sixth hole. It was this outstanding ball striking that allowed Perez to finish in the top-20 for the week. For the tournament, Perez gained 1.63 strokes on average on the field in SG: Approach, ranking ninth in the entire field in this category. However, it was Perez's short game that prevented him from climbing the leaderboard even more. He combined for only gaining on average 0.39 strokes on the field in SG: Putting and SG: Around the Green. Regardless, this top-20 finish now makes it two tournaments in a row with Perez finishing inside the top-20.
