The first day of LIV Golf Team Championship got underway in Michigan on Friday, as six teams prevailed through the quarterfinal round.

Secures spot in LIV for 2026 Pieters finished T8 at LIV Golf Indianapolis with a 16-under cumulative score to end the regular season 19th in the individual standings with 67.91 points.

Impact Pieters ended the season on a high note with back-to-back T8 finishes, and paired with his two T4 placements (LIV Golf Korea and Virginia), the 33-year-old Belgian earned enough points to finish in the Lock Zone to guarantee his spot in the LIV Golf league for 2026. Pieters finished the regular season third in scrambling opportunities, 11th in driving distance, 13th in GIR and in the top-20 in putts per hole and birdies made. He'll end the season this weekend in Michigan, where he'll represent the fifth-seeded 4Aces GC alongside Harold Varner III, LIV Golf Dallas winner Patrick Reed and captain Dustin Johnson.

Impact Pieters was five-under through the first two rounds, but he surged up the leaderboard on Championship Sunday. He finished the round with seven birdies, one bogey and an eagle on the par-5 14th, and his score was the second best of the tournament behind Ben Campbell and Lee Westwood (nine-under 62). Pieters has finished T4 in back-to-back LIV Golf tournaments and sits 16th in the individual season standings with 43.91 points. He'll look to carry his momentum into LIV Golf Dallas starting June 27.

Impact Entering the final round at six-under, Pieters surged into contention with overnight leader Bryson DeChambeau after scoring six-under through his first nine holes. Pieters wasn't able to carry that momentum into the back nine, bogeying the 11th and 18th holes to finish nine strokes back of DeChambeau. It was still a great outing for Pieters, who captured his first top-5 finish of the season and first since LIV Golf Singapore in 2024 (T5). Impact Pieters entered Championship Sunday five-under, and he got off to a strong start in the final round with back-to-back birdies. He carded pars over the next 11 holes before logging a bogey on the par-4 12th hole, and he tumbled down the leaderboard after going three-over in the last two holes. Pieters earned points in three of the first four LIV Golf tournaments and sits 33rd in the individual season standings with 7.66 points. He ranks T10, 14th and 15th in GIR (73.61 percent), scrambling opportunities (66.67 percent) and driving distance (303.0 yards), respectively, but he also ranks T38 in putts per hole (1.64) and 50th in driving accuracy (50.60 percent). Next up is LIV Golf Miami, where he finished T9 in 2024.
