Impact Cantlay was in position for a potential top-10 showing this week, but really struggled coming home with bogeys on 11, 12 and 15 before a triple-bogey on the par-5 18th. Cantlay slipped 23 spots from where he started the final round. He had a strong week with the irons at third in SG: Approach and T7 in GIR's, but was outside the top-50 in both SG: Around-the-Green and SG: Putting, normally two pretty good areas for him. Cantlay will look to shake it off heading to The Masters next week where he has only finished top-10 once in eight career starts.

Impact Cantlay paced the entire field in SG: Around-the-Green during Sunday's final round as he converted eight of 10 scrambling opportunities to go along with a pair of par-5 eagles, but he ultimately finished his week at Bay Hill ranked just 46th among the field in SG: Off-the-Tee and T36 in GIR percentage. Nonetheless, he's now gained at least 3.3 strokes on approach in three consecutive starts. He'll tee it up again this week at THE PLAYERS Championship where he's yet to place better than T19 through seven career appearances.

Gets in the mix on Sunday Cantlay closed with a four-under 68 on Sunday to finish in a share of fifth place at The Genesis Invitational.

Impact Cantlay had a chance on Sunday after he came out and logged four birdies in his first six holes. After a bogey at 7, Cantlay added birdies at 9 and 10. Everything really changed for him on the par-5 13th where he pushed his layup into the deepest rough on the course and ultimately led to a bogey. Cantlay would also make another bogey on the closing par-5, which has to leave a bit of a sour taste in his mouth. Nevertheless, this was still Cantlay's best chance to win in quite awhile. He ranked ninth in SG: Approach, third in SG: Putting, sixth in driving distance and T5 in GIR's. Cantlay will return to action on the Florida Swing at some point.

Impact Cantlay got off to a slow start on Sunday with bogeys on two of the first six holes, but the followed that up with four birdies in the next five to get back on track. Cantlay was unable to add anything else after that, but it was good enough for a strong top-five finish. This is also the ninth top-25 in a row for the UCLA product. Cantlay has not won since the 2022 BMW Championship, but his game does not appear far off of being able to do that again. He is not in the field for the Farmers Insurance Open.
