Solo second in St. Louis
Cantlay posted a two-under 68 in the final round of the BMW Championship to finish solo second and three strokes back of winner Wyndham Clark.
Impact
Clark held a commanding lead heading into the final round, but he, Cantlay, Rory McIlroy and the rest of the field in St. Louis sure made things interesting Sunday. Clark went three-over through the first 10 holes of the final round, which led to both Cantlay and McIlroy briefly sharing the lead at times. However, Cantlay's final round was a roller coaster, with every two steps forward resulting in a step back. His biggest misstep was his double bogey on the par-4 11th, and his bogey on the 15th pretty much knocked him out of contention, though he was able to grab the runner-up finish with three consecutive birdies from holes 16 to 18. Cantlay led the field in SG: Approach, gaining 7.03 strokes in that category while also ranking second and eighth in SG: Around and Off-the-Tee, respectively. However, the big blemish to his game was his performance with his putter, as he lost 3.73 strokes on the green, which ranked 43rd in the 50-man field. Most importantly for Cantlay, his performance rose him up 24 spots to 19th in the FedExCup Standings, earning him a spot in next week's TOUR Championship and exemption into all four majors in 2027. He finished T2 in last year's TOUR Championship.

Fails to climb over weekend
Cantlay posted a five-under cumulative score at the FedEx St. Jude Championship to finish in a seven-way share of 12th.
Impact
Cantlay entered the weekend at five-under following a four-under 66 second round, but he was unable to gain any strokes over his last 36 holes. He finished the tournament seventh in SG: Approach, gaining 5.68 strokes in that category, while also ranking T8 in GIR, T11 in driving accuracy and T19 in birdies. Cantlay enters next week's BMW Championship 43rd in the FedExCup Standings. He needs a strong performance at Bellerive Country Club to crack the top-30 of the Standings to qualify for the TOUR Championship.

Third in SG: Approach in Detroit
Cantlay finished in a seven-way tie for eighth at the Rocket Classic with a 12-under cumulative score.
Impact
Cantlay was 10-under through two rounds and one of the early contenders at Detroit Golf Club, but he was unable to carry that momentum into the weekend, finishing with a two-under 68 final round. He gained 6.74 strokes in his approach play, which was third-best in the field. He also ranked T4 in scrambling and T19 in GIR, but he was also 45th or worse in SG: Off-the-Tee and Around, driving distance and birdies. It was Cantlay's fourth top-10 of the season and first since April at the RBC Heritage (T8), and he's 41st in the FedExCup Standings with 932 points. He'll tee off next week at the Wyndham Championship, where he missed the cut in his last appearance at Sedgefield in 2014.

MC after poor second round
Cantlay posted a one-under cumulative score through two rounds at the Genesis Scottish Open to miss the cut by one stroke.
Impact
Cantlay got off to a fantastic start with a bogey-free, five-under 65 in the first round, when he led the field in scrambling opportunities while ranking in the top-15 in both SG: Putting and SG: Around. However, Friday's round was a different story for the American, who lost 2.19 strokes in his approach game and another 1.63 strokes on the green while connecting on seven of 13 fairways. He still had a chance to make it to the weekend, but Cantlay's near 22-foot putt for birdie on the 18th hole missed by six inches. He's missed the cut in four of 15 tournaments this season, including the U.S. Open three weeks ago. Cantlay will tee off next week at The Open Championship, where he missed the cut last year at Royal Portrush.
