T55 in return from back injury
Day closed with a one-under 69 on Sunday at the Travelers Championship to finish six-under and tied for 55th.
Impact
Day, who withdrew during his opening round at the U.S. Open due to a back injury, returned at TPC River Highlands where he lost 3.68 strokes on approach. However, Day still managed to rack up 19 total birdies across 72 holes, and he ranked T8 among the Signature Event field in driving accuracy. He'll likely tee it up next at the Genesis Scottish Open.

Listed in Travelers field
Day (back) is listed in the field for this week's Travelers Championship.
Impact
Day withdrew from last week's U.S. Open not long after making the turn during Thursday's opening round due to a back injury, but he's hopeful to return this week at TPC River Highlands where he tied for fourth in 2025. However, given Day's lengthy injury history, his status should continue to be monitored throughout the week.

Withdraws from U.S. Open
Day (back) withdrew from the U.S. Open during Thursday's opening round, Mark Schlabach of ESPN reports.
Impact
Day was 7 over through his first 10 holes when he decided to withdraw due to injury. He appeared to grimace during a practice swing on the 10th hole and made his decision shortly after. It's a major disappointment for the two-time runner-up at the U.S. Open, and only time will tell how long this injury will keep the 38-year-old off the links.

MC after bogey on 18th hole
Day missed the cut by one stroke at the Memorial Tournament after posting a six-over cumulative score.
Impact
Day opened the tournament with a two-over 74 that was marred by a triple bogey on the par-4 sixth hole. He was three-over through 11 holes in the second round but was still on track to make the five-over cut line. However, his 11-foot par putt on the 18th hole drifted to the right, which eliminated Day from contention. Day's putter dragged him down, especially in the second round, when he lost 1.94 strokes on the green. It was his third missed cut of the season and first since early March at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Day will next tee off at the U.S. Open Championship, where he finished T23 last year and missed the cut in 2018, when the major was last hosted by Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.

Ties for 38th in Miami
Day fired a four-under 68 on Sunday at the Cadillac Championship to finish four-under and tied for 38th.
Impact
Day rebounded from a five-over 77 during Thursday's opening round at Doral by playing his final 54 holes in a collective nine-under-par, ending the Signature Event with 16 total birdies and an eagle. He ranked top-20 among the field in both SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Putting, though he lost a season-worst 5.31 strokes on approach in Miami. Day will be in attendance again this week for the Truist Championship hosted by Quail Hollow Club, where he won the 2018 Wells Fargo Championship.

T42 at RBC Heritage
Day fired a seven-under 64 on Sunday at the RBC Heritage to finish six-under and tied for 42nd.
Impact
Day paced the field in total feet of putts made during Sunday's final round at Harbour Town, racking up eight birdies in the process. However, he finished the Signature Event just 77th of 82 in SG: Off-the-Tee, hitting only 29 of 56 total fairways in regulation. Day slides five spots to No. 42 in the FedExCup standings, but he's now gained a collective 12.4 strokes putting over his past three starts.

Struggles in final round
Day recorded a three-over 75 in the final round of The Masters to finish tied for 12th place.
Impact
Starting the day in the top-5 and three shots off the lead, Day had an uneventful day with zero birdies, a bogey and a double bogey to fall down the leaderboard. He lost shots in every strokes gained category Sunday, but his six bogeys for the tournament tied for the second fewest. It's Day's second straight top-15 finish and the result moves him up to 37th in the FedExCup Standings.
