Impact Day's impressive back nine shot him up the leaderboard Sunday, highlighted by an eagle on 14 and birdies on 12 and 18 to finish tied for 13th place. The Australian largely avoided big mistakes throughout the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, ranking second with two eagles and 14th with just seven bogeys. Day is not expected to compete in the WM Phoenix Open next weekend, making The Genesis Invitational on Feb. 13 his likely next start on tour.

T3 finish at PGA West Day finished in a share of third place after shooting a three-under 69 in the final round of The American Express.

Impact We know about how good Day's putting and short game are, but he did have a very strong week with the irons. Day ranked seventh in SG: Approach and T8 in GIR's. This was a big improvement over a T40 finish at The Sentry and continues some of the good form he showed towards the back end of last season. Day always seems to show up on the West Coast Swing and he will now head to Torrey Pines where he is a two-time winner and have five-other top-10 finishes in his career.
