Impact Puig made a final-round surge with three consecutive birdies from holes eight to 10 to sit one stroke behind fellow LIV Golfer Patrick Reed at the top of the leaderboard. However, that was as close as Puig got to capturing the tournament trophy, as he proceeded to bogey three of the next five holes before being assessed a two-shot penalty on the par-5 18th for grounding a club in the bunker, resulting in a double bogey. It was a disappointing finish for the Spaniard, who led the field in par-4 scoring and birdies made while finishing in the top-10 in SG: Around the Green and SG: Tee to Green. Still, Puig has opened the 2026 DP World Tour season strongly and sits fourth in the Race to Dubai Rankings with 872.13 points. He's not in the field for next week's Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship, so the next time we'll see Puig is at LIV Golf Riyadh on Feb. 4 in what is the opening tournament of the 2026 LIV Golf season.
