Impact After missing the cut last week at The Open Championship, Harman rebounded nicely at TPC Twin Cities for his best finish of the season and best performance since his victory at the 2025 Valero Open. His performance at the 3M Open moved him up 12 spots to 62nd in the FedExCup Standings and within the top-70 that earn a playoff spot. Harman will not tee off at next week's Rocket Classic, so his last chance to play in the regular season will be at the Wyndham Championship that starts Aug. 6.

Poor showing at Royal Birkdale Harman posted a 74-75 scorecard at The Open Championship to miss the cut by eight strokes.

Impact Harman couldn't get much going at Royal Birkdale, tallying just five birdies compared to 12 bogeys and a double bogey across 36 holes. He was fairly accurate off the tee, but most of his struggles came on the green; he lost 2.88 strokes with his putter in the first round and lost an additional 1.81 strokes in the second. It's the fourth missed cut of the season for Harman, who has five top-25 finishes across 19 tournaments but no top-10s, with his T11 at THE PLAYERS being his best performance of 2026. He'll tee off next week at the 3M Open, where he finished T7 in 2019 and T41 in his last outing at the event in 2020.

Impact Most of Harman's misfortunes happened on the back nine, particularly in the first round, when he went six-over over the final five holes that included double bogeys on the 14th and 16th. He was even-par through 17 holes in the second round and was on track to make the five-over cut line, but disaster struck on the 18th after his tee shot found the water, resulting in a double bogey to end his tournament. It was the third missed cut of the 2026 season for Harman but his first since the WM Phoenix Open in early February. He'll have two weeks to prepare for the U.S. Open, where he finished T59 last year and T36 in 2018, which was the last time that the major was hosted at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.

Impact Harman failed to record a single birdie throughout Sunday's final round on the Blue Monster Course at Doral, but he did eagle the par-5 eighth hole after his approach shot from 266 yards out settled within 15 feet of the cup. He ultimately ranked T14 among the Signature Event field in scrambling and fifth in fairway proximity, but Harman lost 1.6 strokes off the tee en route to just 10 total par-breakers across 72 holes in Miami.
