Billy Edwards Jr. - Dressed but not warming up Edwards (knee) is suited up but not warming up ahead of Saturday's game at Alabama, Colten Bartholomew of the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
Impact Edwards is suited up and did work in early work against the Crimson Tide, but he's not going through pregame work right now. Although the starting quarterback likely won't play in the away game, his true status should be announced ahead of kickoff.

Impact Previously doubtful, Edwards' injury status slightly improves, though that does not guarantee Wisconsin will use him at Alabama. It was not even that long when it was reported that Edwards at Alabama would be a long shot. Danny O'Neil will be the Badgers' starting quarterback against the Tide, and UW may not rush Edwards back even if the former struggles, just so that they can have him available for their conference opener the following week.

Impact O'Neil appears set to make his second consecutive start in place of the injured Billy Edwards after the starter suffered a left knee sprain in the team's season opener against Miami (OH). O'Neil previously started against Middle Tennessee State and performed well, giving him another opportunity heading to Tuscaloosa. The 6-foot signal caller will be hoping to make a statement against the Crimson Tide in order to possibly keep the starting gig once Edwards returns, but for the timebeing Edwards is expected to remain the starter once healthy.
