Jai'Den Thomas - Two touches in Week 2 Thomas posted two rushes for 30 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 72-14 win over Utah Tech.

Impact Thomas got off to a fast start Saturday, taking his first carry 27 yards for the game's opening touchdown. However, the sophomore saw just one carry the rest of the contest in a blowout UNLV victory. While his touchdown was encouraging, it's been a disappointing start to the year for Thomas managers -- he has just 10 carries for 45 yards through two games in what looks to be a crowded Rebels' backfield.

Matthew Sluka - Four touchdowns in Week 2 Sluka was 8-for-17 passing for 161 yards and three touchdowns during Saturday's 72-14 victory against Utah Tech. He also had nine rushes for 70 yards with an additional score.

Impact Sluka would only complete eight passes in the blowout win though he certainly made them count, throwing for three touchdowns in the first quarter before adding a 30-yard rushing score in the second. Sluka's completed just 46.7 percent of his passes through his first two games at UNLV, though he's thrown five touchdowns while adding 129 rushing yards on 20 attempts.

Ricky White III - Three scores in Week 2 White tallied five receptions (on six targets) for 111 yards and three touchdowns during Saturday's 72-14 win over Utah Tech.

Impact After a disappointing showing in Week 1, White returned to his 2023 form in Week 2 with a three-touchdown performance, including a 55-yard score in the first quarter. The senior wideout now has 122 yards on seven receptions through two games this year after breaking out with 1,483 yards and eight touchdowns last season.

Greg Burrell - Leads UNLV backfield Burrell logged 11 rushes for 101 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 72-14 victory against Utah Tech.

Impact Burrell had just four carries for 16 yards in UNLV's opener, though he wound up leading the Rebels in both carries and yards in Week 2. While the true freshman saw most of his work with the game well in hand in the second half, Burrell has certainly made a case for a spot in UNLV's backfield rotation moving forward.
