Impact During the spring, Brown underwent foot surgery, which caused him to use a scooter for some time. There is hope that the wideout will be ready by the time UAB's 2025 season begins. Ideally, the Blazers' fall camp clears his availability prior to Aug. 28 against Alabama State.

Isaiah Jacobs - Full go in spring Jacobs (foot) was full go in the spring, Steve Irvine of Bhambanner.com reports.

Impact Unfortunately for Jacobs, a foot injury limited his 2024 availability. As a result, he logged zero touchdowns then. Still, Jacobs logged 41 carries for 162 rushing yards (4.0 averaged per carry) and 33 receiving yards, which is not too far off his 2023 output with UAB.

Jailen Holmes - Committed to UAB Holmes announced his committment to play for UAB for the 2025 season via his X account Sunday.

Impact Holmes will join the Blazers following a single season with Oregon State. The 5-foot-10 receiver appeared in just a single season for the Beavers in 2024, failing to record a counting stat while preserving a redshirt for his junior season of eligibility. The former JUCO transfer will retain two years of eligibility with UAB moving forward.

Impact Hawkins entered the transfer portal after a relatively unproductive 2024 season that saw him barely log multiple receptions (two) and a touchdown. However, he will enroll at UAB again in 2025, which is expected to be his senior year of college football.

Antonio Ferguson - Committing to UAB Ferguson announced his committment to play for UAB for the 2025 season via his X account.

Impact Ferguson will join the Blazers following a single season with Florida International. The redshirt freshman tight end caught seven passes for 90 yards and a touchdown for the Panthers in 2024. He will retain three years of eligibility with UAB moving forward.

Impact Jackson will join the Blazers following a single season with UTEP. The redshirt junior running back ran for 754 yards and four touchdowns with the Miners in 2024 while adding 16 receptions for 99 yards and a pair of touchdowns through the air as well. He will retain a single year of eligibility with UAB.
