Heading to Kansas State Ward announced via his personal Twitter account Tuesday that he's transferring to Kansas State.
Impact Ward entered the transfer portal last week and came to a quick decision on where he'll continue his collegiate career. He had 95 carries for 628 yards and seven touchdowns in 10 games for Florida State last season, and he should compete for a starting role with Kansas State since Deuce Vaughn has already declared for the 2023 NFL Draft.

No surgery needed Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell said Tuesday that Ward (shoulder) won't need surgery, Brendan Sonnone of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact The running back underwent an evaluation Monday that revealed he won't need surgery, but it's unclear how much time he may miss. Regardless, this is certainly a positive sign after Ward appeared to suffer a significant injury during Saturday's matchup against North Carolina State. If he's unable to suit up against Clemson, Trey Benson and Lawrance Toafili would be candidates for increased roles in the backfield.
