Jacob Bostick - Leading wideout in opener Bostick brought in three of six targets for 56 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 42-0 win against Stony Brook.

Impact While the Aztecs didn't put up huge numbers through the air Thursday, Bostick looked to have some chemistry with quarterback Jayden Denegal. The junior would ultimately lead the team in all receiving categories while hauling in Denegal's lone touchdown pass in the first quarter. Bostick transferred to San Diego State in the offseason following stops at Iowa and Texas A&M.

Lucky Sutton - Breaks out in opener Sutton posted 22 carries for 100 yards and two touchdowns during Thursday's 42-0 win versus Stony Brook. He also brought in two receptions for five yards.

Impact Sutton was the clear number-one option out of the Aztecs' backfield Thursday, as he out-carried Christian Washington 22-to-7. Sutton certainly made the most of the opportunity, topping 100 yards for the first time in his collegiate career while punching in a pair of short-yardage scores. The redshirt junior looks poised for a big year after totaling just 200 yards on 37 carries in his first three seasons.

Jayden Denegal - Leads Aztecs to opening win Denegal completed 13 of 25 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown during Thursday's 42-0 victory over Stony Brook. He also had seven rushes for 12 yards.

Impact It was a solid debut for Denegal, highlighted by a 25-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Bostick late in the first quarter, though he wasn't asked to do much as the Aztecs relied heavily on the run game in a decisive victory. San Diego State will likely need Denegal to throw the ball more next week in a matchup with Washington State.
