Jacob Bostick - Fully active for fall camp
Bostick (knee) is a full participant in the Aztecs' fall camp, per Kirk Kenney of The San Diego Union-Tribune.
Impact
Bostick, like fellow wide receiver Jordan Napier, is back on the field after recovering from knee surgery that prevented him from participating in spring practices. The wideout had his 2025 season cut short after hauling in 11 receptions for 157 yards and three touchdowns, and he now looks to take advantage of a healthy fall camp. Bostick should be a reliable target in the passing attack as he looks to help lead a receiving trio that includes Napier and Donovan Brown this season.

Jordan Napier - Healthy and wearing brace
Napier (knee) is a full participant in the Aztec's fall camp while wearing a knee brace, per Kirk Kenney of The San Diego Union-Tribune.
Impact
Napier has returned to the field after missing San Diego State's spring practice period while recovering from knee surgery. The wideout is expected to lead the receiving room once again this season after leading the team with 48 receptions and 629 yards last year. Napier was seen running routes with other receivers during practice, and head coach Sean Lewis noted that the staff is giving recovering players the necessary workload to get ready while remaining smart about how they ramp back up.

Bert Emanuel Jr. - Moves to wide receiver
Emanuel switched to wide receiver during the offseason, Roman Aguilar of The Daily Aztec reports.
Impact
Emanuel, who was a backup quarterback last season after spending three seasons as a backup for Central Michigan, has found a new role this offseason. Seeing that he didn't have a chance to start at quarterback, Emanuel and the coaching staff agreed on him moving to the outside. He has shown flashes as a playmaker throughout his career, including two long touchdown runs in last seasons bowl game, and has totaled 1,116 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns over his career. It's a big change for him so it's too early to tell if he will be more of a gadget player or have a more significant role.

Jordan Napier - Still recovering in spring
Napier (knee) is still recovering from the knee surgery he underwent in November, per San Diego State Aztecs On SI.
Impact
Napier is coming off a career year with the Aztecs, having reeled in 48 catches for 629 yards and two scores last fall. He suffered a season-ending knee injury in November, one that the wideout appears to still be working his way back from. He remains a question mark, but if he can get healthy by the fall, Napier will be a big-time weapon for the Aztecs.
