Noticeably absent again Polk hauled in 0 of 3 targets for zero yards during Saturday's 24-21 victory over Washington State.

Impact For the second straight week, Polk failed to registr a catch. There's no news indicate an injury, and he was involved in a good share of snaps, so the reason for the downturn is unclear. While a star like Polk could always have a down game, two in a row is concerning. It might be a better idea to llook elsewhere to remain safe in the upcoming battle against Oregon.

Impact Penix spread the ball around to his playmakers, but Polk managed to get his share of looks. The talented sophomore now has 51 catches for 888 yards and eight touchdowns over nine games.

He's considered th third option the receiving room, but he's managed to put together an excellent sophomore campaign after redshirting upon his move from Texas Tech. He's logged 16 catches for 836 yards and seven touchdowns this season.

Impact Unfortunately for Polk, his sophomore season will likely be over unless his team can make postseason play. With Polk out for the foreseeable future, his injury will force Giles Jackson and Sawyer Racanelli to see more snaps against Michigan since Terrell Bynum, Jalen McMillian and Rome Odunze are not likely to play.

Impact Polk elected to transfer to Washington from Texas Tech during the offseason despite reeling in 28 passes for 264 yards and a pair of touchdowns last season for the Red Raiders. He didn't really hold a starting spot for most of camp, but the late hand injury for Jalen McMillan that required surgery appears to have opened a door for him to join the starting unit. He could lay claim to a more permanent spot if he starts the season strong.
