Impact Wilson started last week against Houston, but Brandon Rose also got some decent run at quarterback as well. Wilson protected the football while Rose threw an interception, but the Utah staff remains coy about who will start, or if the team will go with a quarterback-by-committee approach once again.

Benched in loss to Houston Wilson was 13-for-22 passing for 171 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 17-14 loss to Houston. He also had five rushes for three yards and a lost fumble.

Impact Wilson was benched in the third quarter for back-up Brandon Rose. Wilson has struggled with turnovers as he has at least one in six of seven games this year. Rose also committed a costly turnover near the end of the game which led to Houston's game-winning field goal. Utah's offense is a bit of a mess right now. They'll play an undefeated BYU team after a bye week.

Impact Cameron Rising (leg) is out indefinitely, resulting in Wilson being Utah's starting quarterback again. The successor has completed 55.7 percent of 122 passes for 830 yards and a 6:7 TD:INT ratio, all stats he will look to clean up.

Impact Wilson started three games for Utah in Rising's absence, and had an up-and-down performance. Still, there was a lot to like from the quarterback especially considering he's just a true freshman. Wilson should remain Rising's backup moving forward at least for the rest of this season.
