GAME LOG

Records touchdown Desrosiers accrued two carries for 48 yards and one touchdown and hauled in all two targets for 24 yards during Tuesday's 42-37 victory versus West Virginia.
Impact Even though Desrosiers' 2024 season looked like a lost cause after he suffered a collarbone injury, the year turned out solid for him. For the second straight year, Desrosiers logged 200-plus rushing yards and 100-plus receiving yards with multiple touchdowns as a rusher and receiving option. Even with a collarbone injury taking him out of commission for some time, he cannot redshirt 2024, which marks his junior year. Desrosiers will be a senior during his 2025 season. Considering the consistency Desrosiers has displayed as an underclassman, he is expected to remain a reliable back next year, especially if Memphis' football program retains his services.

Scores three touchdowns Thursday Desrosiers totaled six rushes for 41 yards and one touchdown and hauled in 8 of 9 targets for 84 yards and two touchdowns during Thursday's 34-24 win over Tulane.
Impact Desrosiers led Memphis to an upset win over Tulane as he scored a hat-trick of touchdowns. It was a surprising performance considering he came into the game with three total touchdowns through six games and Mario Anderson still saw a massive workload. Desrosiers caught a pair of touchdowns from Seth Henigan in the first half, then scored a 29-yard rushing touchdown early in the third to give his team a 24-10 lead. It was an excellent way to end the season for him as nearly half of his season-long production came in Thursday's contest.

Scores in Saturday's win Desrosiers posted five carries for 26 yards and caught 2 of 3 targets for 25 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 53-18 win against UAB.
Impact Desrosiers had a solid outing Saturday as he scored his third touchdown of the season, a 19-yard reception in the third quarter. He finished the game with 51 yards from scrimmage, his second most in a game this season. While he is firmly behind Mario Anderson on the depth chart, he has maintained some level of production, especially in blowout wins. Unfortunately for him, a blowout win is unlikely to happen on Thanksgiving at Tulane.

OCTOBER 14, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Won't play vs. South Florida Desrosiers (collarbone) will miss at least one more game, Jonah Dylan of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Impact Desrosiers hasn't played since Week 3 against Florida State. The tailback was a rotational piece for the Tigers, tallying 16 carries for 95 yards and one score through three games. He also added value as a receiver, with eight catches for 39 yards and a touchdown. Mario Anderson should continue to lead the way for Memphis' backfield moving forward.
OCTOBER 7, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Expected to be out multiple weeks Desrosiers (collarbone) is expected to be out for multiple weeks, Jonah Dylan of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Impact Desrosiers being out multiple weeks indicates his unavailability for the 2024 Tigers' next game, currently against Middle Tennessee State on Sept. 28. If their schedule is unchanged, he may not need to log multiple DNPs. The team has a bye week before being scheduled for South Florida on Oct. 11.

Out Saturday Desrosiers (collarbone) is out Saturday at Navy, Jonah Dylan of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Impact Desrosiers will miss his first game of the season due to a collarbone injury, the extent of which is unknown. His absence will allow both Mario Anderson and Brandon Thomas to see more work. Desrosiers' next chance to play is next Saturday versus Middle Tennessee State.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable for Navy Desrosiers (undisclosed) may be unavailable for Week 4 vs. Navy, Jonah Dylan of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Impact Desrosiers is coming off a solid game against Florida State in which he ran for 30 yards and caught a touchdown. It's unclear what exact ailment he's dealing with, but the tailback is questionable for Week 4. If he's unable to play, Brandon Thomas should slide into the backup tailback spot behind starter Mario Anderson.
SEPTEMBER 17, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Catches TD Saturday Desrosiers had four rushes for 30 yards and gathered in all four targets for 19 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 20-12 win against Florida State.
Impact Desrosiers caught a season-high four passes Saturday, including a six-yard touchdown in the second quarter. After Sutton Smith's season-ending leg injury, Desrosiers will be the Tigers' No. 2 back and showed that he can be productive in that role. With the team being favored in most games for the rest of the season, he could see a sizable workload as Mario Anderson's backup.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Officially listed as backup RB Desrosiers is officially listed as Memphis' backup running back with Sutton Smith out for the remainder of the 2024 season, Jonah Dylan of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Impact Desrosiers slid into the Tigers' backup spot in Week 2 against Troy and was solid with eight carries for 59 yards. He also has four catches through two weeks. Desrosiers is now looking at a full-time RB2 role with Smith done for the season, and that was reflected in Memphis' Week 3 depth chart.

Impact Sutton Smith (leg) was ruled out for the season Saturday, giving Desrosiers a chance to make his case for being the team's No. 2 option. Desrosiers made his case well as he gained 62 yards from scrimmage on 10 touches. He was clearly the No. 2 option behind Mario Anderson and will likely continue to serve in that role for the remainder of the season.

Impact Desrosiers will get his chance as Memphis needs to replace its starting running back. In the opener, he scored a touchdown on four carries for six yards. He figures to see much more snaps in Week 2 and should be a critical component of the Tigers' ground game against Troy.
SEPTEMBER 7, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Scores in opener Desrosiers accrued four rushes for six yards and one touchdown and caught all two targets for 17 yards during Saturday's 40-0 victory over North Alabama.
Impact Desrosiers got his Memphis career off to a nice start as he scored a five-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter of Saturday's blowout win. He had six touches in the game and was the clear No. 3 option behind Mario Anderson and Sutton Smith. However, Smith (leg) left the game in the first quarter, which could pave the way for Desrosiers to see an uptick in action if Smith is forced to miss time.

Looking for new program Desrosiers entered the transfer portal Friday, Mike Farrell of MikeFarrellSports.com reports.
Impact Desrosiers tallied 37 carries for 301 yards and four touchdowns to go along with 15 receptions for 185 yards and two touchdowns through the air in 2023. The sophomore running back will look for a new program after making 23 appearances across two seasons for UMass.

Career best day, yards, TDs Desrosiers Jr. needed only 10 carries to collect 162 rushing yards and three touchdowns in Massachusetts' 31-21 win over FCS opponent, Merrimack, on Nov. 4.
Impact For the sophomore it was his best showing that included two long touchdown runs, 46-and-57-yards, both in the fourth quarter. Desrosiers Jr. could be in for another big game that comes on Nov. 18 at Liberty. As a freshman, he ran seven times for 110 yards and two touchdowns against the Flames. But for this season, the Liberty defense against the run is around the top 20 in the country and has allowed only seven rushing touchdowns this season.
