Drew Mestemaker News, Rumors, Updates - Oklahoma State Cowboys

Dismantles the Mountaineers Mestemaker was 20-for-27 passing for 389 yards, three touchdowns and one interception during Saturday's 41-24 win against West Virginia.

Impact Mestemaker delivered one of the best quarterback performances in the Big 12 this season, carving up West Virginia for a season-high 389 passing yards in a comeback victory. He bounced back immediately after a third-quarter interception, guiding the Cowboys to scores on five straight possessions and finishing with his third straight 300-yard passing game. With Oklahoma State's offense clicking and a deep group of playmakers around him, Mestemaker is rapidly becoming one of the conference's most reliable fantasy quarterbacks.

Heating up ahead of a big test Mestemaker was 20-for-22 passing for 324 yards and five touchdowns during Saturday's 59-0 victory versus Murray State.

Impact Mestemaker couldn't have been much more efficient in Oklahoma State's rout of an FCS opponent, throwing five touchdown passes while leading scoring drives all over the field before the backups took over. It was the perfect follow-up to his impressive showing in the upset of Oregon. After a rough opener against Tulsa, Mestemaker has guided an offense that has scored 39 and 59 points in consecutive weeks. He's showing the ability to distribute the ball to multiple playmakers while taking advantage of favorable matchups. One thing worth monitoring is ball security. He recorded his second lost fumble of the season, a small concern amid an otherwise outstanding start. Looking ahead, fantasy managers should have this week's matchup circled. A road trip to West Virginia features two offenses that are playing well and could turn into one of the highest-scoring games in the Big 12. Mestemaker enters that matchup with significant fantasy momentum.

Flashes QB1 ceiling in huge upset Mestemaker was 26-for-43 passing for 317 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions during Saturday's 39-31 victory over Oregon. He also had six rushes for 109 yards with one touc...

Impact Mestemaker exploded for one of the best fantasy performances of the week after a quiet debut in Week 1. The transfer quarterback looked far more comfortable in Eric Morris' offense, accounting for 426 total yards as the Cowboys piled up 554 yards against one of the nation's top-ranked teams. His signature moment came on a go-ahead fourth-quarter touchdown run, where he launched himself toward the goal line and was flipped in midair before finding the end zone. More importantly for fantasy managers, this was the dual-threat ceiling they were hoping for when Mestemaker arrived in Stillwater. While the two interceptions show there is still some volatility in his profile, his willingness to push the ball downfield and contribute as a runner gives him legitimate weekly QB1 upside in all fantasy formats. If this performance is the start of a trend rather than a one-week spike, Mestemaker could quickly become one of the biggest success stories of the season.
