Battling Jackson, Jimerson for QB1 Ditta is in a quarterback battle with Tayven Jackson and Chris Jimerson for North Texas' starting quarterback job, per Brett Vito of the Denton Record-Chronicle.

Impact Ditta, an ECU transfer, saw mop-up action with the Pirates last season to the tune of 215 passing yards and three touchdowns on 12-of-24 passing. He's certainly not a favorite in this competition, as Jackson appears to have the inside track given his experience at the Power Four level. Still, the Mean Green coaching staff is keeping this battle open as fall camp approaches.
