Impact Braxton was promoted to a starting role for Week 6 and replaced Stone Earle, who didn't throw for 180 yards in any game this season. Braxton didn't light it up as a passer either and 75 of his passing yards came on a catch-and-run TD by Jordan Houston. However, Braxton was electric as a rusher, scoring twice on the ground and totaling 140 yards. He iced the game with four minutes remaining by running in a 35-yard score. He's likely to remain Marshall's starting QB.

Starting Saturday Braxton is starting at quarterback for Saturday's game against Appalachian State, Luke Creasy of The Huntington Herald-Dispatch reports.

Impact Braxton is getting his first start of the season in place of Stone Earle. Earle has completed just about 55 percent of his passes for 537 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception. Braxton, a Tulsa transfer with starting experience, is set to take over under center and could stick around as the starter with a good showing.

Impact Braxton will make the move to join the Thundering Herd following a three-year stint with Tulsa. The redshirt sophomore quarterback has thrown for 1,345 yards (114-of-213), 12 touchdowns and eight interceptions across 19 appearances.

Benched again Saturday Braxton was 3-for-6 passing for three yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 24-22 loss to Tulane.

Impact Braxton once again started the game under center for the Golden Hurricane, but after throwing an interception on the first drive, Kirk Francis took over the offense for the rest of the game, outside of a few plays sprinkled in from Braxton. Unfortunately for Braxton, Francis played quite well and nearly pulled a massive upset over Tulane, which could mean the end of Braxton's chances to start or even be the third string when Cardell Williams returns.

Benched after first drive Braxton was 1-for-4 passing for four yards during Saturday's 33-26 overtime defeat to Charlotte.

Impact Braxton started Saturday's game but was replaced by Cardell Williams after the first drive. After the game, head coach Kevin Wilson indicated that the benching was performance-based and that he has not been throwing the ball well. It is unclear what this means for Braxton's future as the starting quarterback, especially since Williams was injured during the game. True-freshman Kirk Francis finished Saturday's game and did not play particularly well.

Impact Braxton played his most snaps of the season Saturday and it did not go well. He completed just 50 percent of his passes for less than 100 yards and threw two interceptions, including a pick-six. He was eventually benched while his team was down 63 points, and Cardell Williams came in and threw a touchdown pass. He faces a much easier matchup Saturday versus Charlotte, a defense which has given up nearly 350 yards per game this season.

Limited again Thursday Braxton completed 4 of 8 passes for 37 yards and one interception during Thursday's 42-10 loss versus Rice. He also had 12 rushes for 89 yards and a lost fumble.

Impact Braxton started Thursday's game but split time once again with Cardell Williams. He had a nightmare start to the game throwing an interception on just the second offensive play Thursday. He only attempted eight passes, but he made up for it with 89 rushing yards, easily the most scrimmage yards on the team. He took 41 snaps compared to Williams 28, and the two played a few snaps together. It is unclear if the pair of quarterbacks will split time for the rest of the season, or if this is just the strategy until Braxton is fully healthy. That question will hopefully be answered next Saturday at SMU.
