Impact It seems like Tuesday was a day off for Lonergan to rest some bumps and bruises. Considering that Boston College's head coach Bill O'Brien said that his resting quarterback will be "out there [at practice]" Wednesday, the development is not too surprising. Lonergan back at practice indicates that he will be available Saturday at Michigan State.

Impact Bond was nearly unstoppable for the Eagles. He hauled in nearly every pass thrown his way to eclipse the 100-yard mark for just the third time in his career. Coming off a career year, Bond appeared primed to lead the way for Boston College as a receiver and Week 1 was a great start. The quality of defense he'll face improves significantly in Week 2, however, as BC must travel to Michigan State.

Jordan McDonald - Eight touches in opener McDonald tallied six carries for 20 yards and reeled in all two targets for 13 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 66-10 victory versus Fordham.
Impact McDonald was bottled up on the ground, like the rest of Boston College's running backs for the most part against Fordham. It mean very little in the grand scheme of the game, as the Eagles put up 66 points and their arial attack was nearly flawless. McDonald appears as if he's firmly locked in to backup Turbo Richard with a solid amount of touches each week.

Turbo Richard - Leading rusher with 16 carries Richard accrued 16 carries for 48 yards and one touchdown and gathered in 0 of 1 targets for zero yards during Saturday's 66-10 victory over Fordham.
Impact Richard led the way for Boston College on the ground, but couldn't turn his 16 carries into anything more than a modest 48 yards rushing. The Eagles' ground game didn't need to be spectacular when their passing attack tossed for four touchdowns with deadly efficiency, but Richard will look to produce more than 3.0 yards-per-carry next week against Michigan State.

Impact James was perfect in his relief of Dylan Lonegran, who tossed for four touchdowns as Boston College routed Fordham. He amassed nearly 200 yards through the air on just five attempts. James has plenty of experience in the past for both Boston College and FIU, so it's unsurprising that he was great coming off the bench. As a backup this season and insurance policy for Lonegran, James should be a very strong option for Boston College.

Impact It was just Fordham, but Lonergan's debut as the Boston College signal-caller went just about as smoothly as any Eagle supporter could've hoped. The former Alabama quarterback was lethally efficient, completing 76 percent of his passes, and he threw for the first four touchdowns of his career while averaging 7.9 yards-per-attempt. Things get tougher on the road against Michigan State in Week 2.

Jordan McDonald - Co-starting with Richard McDonald is listed as a co-starter with Turbo Richard on BC's depth chart for Saturday's game against Fordham, AJ Black of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact McDonald posted 53 carries for 361 yards and three touchdowns in a supplementary role last season with the Eagles. The incoming senior running back will now share the backfield with sophomore ball carrier Richard, who came off a promising freshman campaign. The pair will both likely get a lot of volume this season as the co-starters.

Impact Franklin is coming off a career year, reeling in 27 catches for 311 yards and three scores. That plus an apparently strong offseason has locked him into the starting tight end role for the Eagles, at least on paper. Ty Lockwood and Zeke Moore, in that order, are the other two tight ends listed on the depth chart.

However, he'll share the starter designation with the senior McDonald, who posted 361 yards rushing and three touchdowns last season on 6.8 yards-per-carry. Both backs figure to accrue plenty of carries this fall.
