Impact After having over 1200 passing and rushing yards in 2024, Horvath was accurate in Saturday's season opener, but only played in the first half. He is likely to show a lot more of his dual-threat ability next week for the Midshipmen's first conference game against UAB.

Huge day in win over Oklahoma Horvath was 7-for-12 passing for 92 yards during Friday's 21-20 victory versus Oklahoma. He also had 18 rushes for 155 yards with two touchdowns.

Impact Horvath did the majority of his damage on the ground on a 95-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, but he also added the game-winning score in the fourth quarter from six yards out to cap off his day. The junior posted a massive season for the Midshipmen under center, compiling 1,353 passing yards and a 13:4 TD:INT ratio through the air while accumulating 175 carries for 1,254 yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground en route to an impressive season for Navy. He should remain a centerpiece to the team's offense again in 2025.

Impact Horvath will make his return to the lineup after having missed the team's past three games with a back injury. Across 10 appearances this season, he has completed 69 of his 118 pass attempts for 118 yards, 11 touchdowns and four interceptions in addition to rushing for 895 yards and 13 touchdowns on 132 carries and will look to add to those totals during Saturday's matchup.

Impact The quarterback was questionable with a back injury, but it appears he'll be good to go against the Black Knights. Horvath missed Navy's past three games of the season, but prior to that absence, he tossed for 1,154 yards, 11 touchdowns and four interceptions, while adding 895 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground. He's a huge part of everything the Midshipmen do on offense, and will his presence will obviously be massive in the annual Army-Navy game.

Braxton Woodson and Jackson Gutierrez are the candidates to draw the start under center in Horvath's place. Horvath will have a week to rest up before the annual Army-Navy game on Dec. 14.

Impact Horvath was managing sore ribs and back spasms heading into Saturday's game and the two ailments flared up in the first quarter. He left the game and made a brief return in the second quarter before leaving the game for good. Although the Midshipmen offense had not done much with Horvath in the game, it completely shut down with Braxton Woodson under center. If Horvath is forced to miss the next game -- at East Carolina on Nov. 29 -- the value of every Midshipmen offensive player will decrease significantly.

Impact Horvath did not light up the stat sheet Saturday, but he did enough to end the Midshipmen's two-game losing streak. He tossed his 11th touchdown of the season but threw for just 58 yards, by far his lowest this season. He added an inefficient 56 yards on the ground, but scored his 13th rushing touchdown of the season to make up for it. He faces a difficult and very important matchup versus Tulane next.
