Broken ankle in past Massalski (ankle) debuted with nine points (3-8 FG, 3-4 FT) and a team-high 14 rebounds across 24 minutes in Wednesday's 83-56 loss to UCLA.

Impact Massalski's junior year was cut short after just 20 games due to a broken ankle, but the 6-10 center is not only healthy, but starting and thriving. He was a regular starter for the Toreros in 2018-19, but started only four of the 20 contests he appeared in last season, often giving way to Alex Floresca in a small-ball lineup. With Floresca having exhausted his eligibility, the spot now appears to be Massalski's, with New Mexico transfer Vladimir Pinchuk on had to operate in a reserve capacity.
