Nolan Winter - Double-double in homecoming Winter totaled 12 points (6-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one block across 39 minutes during Tuesday's 78-75 win over Minnesota. Impact Winter, a Minnesota native, nearly blew it for the Badgers when he missed two critical free throws at the end of the second half that would've put Wisconsin up by multiple possessions. The Gophers proceeded to hit the game-tying three, only for Winter to get bailed out by Wisconsin's star guard John Blackwell draining the game-winning three. Still, it was a productive outing for the center, who notched his eighth double-double of the season and shot 50 percent from the field. Those missed free throws also look like an anomaly -- he's shooting a career-best 77.6 percent from the charity stripe this season.
