Moore's 16 lead Western Kentucky over Tennessee Tech 82-70

Led by Teagan Moore's 16 points, the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers defeated the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles 82-70 in a season-opening contest for both teams

Noah Boyde - Logs 14 minutes in exhibition Boyde (undisclosed) played 14 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's exhibition against Kentucky Wesleyan. He finished with three points (1-1 FG, 1-2 FT) and one block.
Impact Boyde's impact off the bench was minimal. However, he was healthy enough to be an option, and he's expected to remain as frontcourt depth once WKU open their regular season against Tennessee Tech on Monday, Nov. 3.

Grant Newell - Switching to WKU Newell has committed to Western Kentucky, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Newell will head over to WKU after playing this past campaign with North Texas and the previous two for Cal. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 6.2 points and 3.6 rebounds on 21.8 minutes per game this season. He should aim to make some noise right away with the Hilltoppers.

Ryan Myers - Transfers to WKU Myers will transfer to Western Kentucky, the program announced.
Impact Myers lands with the Hilltoppers after two seasons at Western Illinois. In 2024-2025, the guard averaged 13.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists while posting 37/35/70 shooting splits. He'll have one season of eligibility remaining.

Noah Boyde - Lands with Western Kentucky Boyde has signed with Western Kentucky for the 2025-26 season, PortalUpdates reports.
Impact Boyde leaves LSU after one season to join Western Kentucky in search of more playing opportunities. The junior forward made only five appearances, averaging 2.0 minutes across them.

Bryant Selebangue - Transfers to WKU Selebangue has announced his commitment to Western Kentucky, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Selebangue, who started his previously appeared with Tulsa and Arizona State, will make the move to WKU after spending one season with McNeese State. The 6-foot-8 junior appeared in all 35 games with the Cowboys, averaging 3.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 0.5 steals on 14.7 minutes per game.

Louie Semona - Lands with Western Kentucky Semona has announced his commitment to Western Kentucky, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Semona will join the Hilltoppers after spending the last two seasons with Stonehill. The 6-foot-8 sophomore appeared in all 32 games (16 starts), averaging 13.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.6 steals on 27.8 minutes per game. Semona will look to carve out a role with WKU this offseason.

Cam Haffner - Heading to the Hill Haffner announced his committment to play for Western Kentucky for the 2025-26 season via his X account Thursday.
Impact Haffner will join the Hilltoppers following two seasons with Evansville. The 6-foot-2 junior averaged 12.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game with the Purple Aces this past season. He will retain a single year of eligibility with Western Kentucky moving forward.

Impact Head coach Hank Plona said on Tuesday that Thedford will likely miss the rest of the season. He has missed the last nine games since suffering a dislocated kneecap and a torn ligament in the Jan. 18 game at Middle Tennessee State. The freshman had a strong start to his collegiate career prior to the injury as he was averaging 12.4 points and 3.8 rebounds across his 18 appearances (six starts).
